I have the challenge and responsibility to guide and lead in the governance issues for each of the four management entities. Most of the leg work is undertaken by the general Secretary of the Conference but I am very much involved in the issues of governance for our Conference, Aged Care, Education and church companies. The operations of the church in this conference in harmony with the government laws and statutes as it relates to employment issues consumes large portions of our time. I also need to keep a careful eye on church operations that they consistently remain in harmony with church policy within our church organisation within the South Pacific Division and Australian Union Conference. I therefore twice a year for three days at each event meet with the two higher levels of our church organisation. I join with ten other local Conference presidents from around Australia and New Zealand. This is amazing unity in governance.
